Small
Business And Consultants
I
am so glad you are paying us a visit. My firm was started in
1969 with the
sole aim of providing assistance to small
business owners in their efforts to maximize profits. Our aim has not changed. I hope you find
our information helpful.
Small business proprietors have long been suspicious of
consultants
They see the need for a Tax Consultant because it is a
complex subject that they do not know and everybody has
a taxman, don't they? But when it comes to marketing, or
selling, or production or any of the many aspects of running a
profitable business they are obstinate.
A big part of the reason is price. Consultants are not
inexpensive!
And the small business consultancy industry is not
blameless, either. It does a poor job of promoting itself to
small business. Many of them have that government disease of
incorrectly defining what a small business is.
Most government departments define a small business as one who
has less than one hundred employees. If that is a small business
then their has to be another category for the kind of clients I
have. Restaurants, for example, a large portion of our clients
would never employ 100 people no matter how large they grew. An
independent supermarket with 20 staff is quite a profitable
size.
And how about all the home based business owners who operate on
their own? They wouldn't even get a look in!
The small business consulting industry has tended to ignore the
boutique businesses which have made this and any other nation
strong, and no-one else seems to be looking after them
specifically. It is no wonder they view consultants with
suspicion.
My firm was started in 1969 with the sole aim of
providing assistance to those extra small business owners in
their efforts to maximize profits. Our aim has not changed.
We have gathered together all the information from the
internet and other sources to help those forgotten business
